The department of Kinesiology, Sport and Wellness provides opportunities for students interested in exercise science and fitness related professions, coaching, and activity or theory courses as electives. We aim to provide students with skills, attitudes, and knowledge concerning sports and human movement for enjoyment now and in later years; to provide experiences and activities for fostering and appreciating good health and physical fitness; to prepare effective coaches and to instill in them professional attitudes and to offer coursework towards a middle school or secondary endorsement.
Whether you're looking to pursue a professional program for medicine, dentistry, physician assistant, occupational/physical therapy or anything else in the healthcare field, Pre-Health Advising is here to help you map a course for your time at IWU to be successful.
Students in the program have the chance to learn from hands-on experiences by working in the Athletic Training Room.
The Pre-Health Club hopes to inform students of the aspects of different specialties in the healthcare field and how to get involved in these fields as an undergraduate student along with tips regarding further education, and the lifestyle of these fields.
