BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— On Thursday, November 7, Illinois Wesleyan University’s School of Music will present the Chamber Singers concert. The performance, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 8 p.m. in Evelyn Chapel (1301 N. Park St., Bloomington).
The ensemble, which dedicates itself to vocal chamber performance, presents concerts of vocal chamber literature throughout the academic school year.
Conducted by J. Scott Ferguson, professor of music, the choir will perform various compositions, including: The Nightingale by Thomas Bateson, Abendlied by Felix Mendelssohn, Angelus ad pastores ait by Claudio Monteverdi, Trávnice by Alexander Moyzes and Stephen Paulus’ I Cannot Sing, O Lord.
The Chamber Singers include seniors Hayley Robinson, Clarisse Tobia and Kylin Wagner on soprano I, first-year student Celia Williams and sophomores Ann Marie Pasternock and Laurel Forlano on soprano II and senior Allison Mullins, sophomore Samantha Noga and junior Allie Perlongo on alto. Eva Ferguson will be the piano accompanist.
