BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan School of Theatre Arts will present The Memory of Water by Shelagh Stephenson Thursday, Oct. 25 through Saturday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. in the E. Melba Johnson Kirkpatrick Laboratory Theatre (304 E. Graham St., Bloomington). Tickets are available for purchase at the McPherson Theatre Box Office. General admission and senior tickets will cost $3. Student tickets are $2 with a valid school ID.
The Memory of Water, directed by senior theatre arts major Kristyn Kuzniar, centers on three sisters who are brought together for their mother's funeral. Throughout the play, each of the sisters recalls differing childhood memories, and they struggle to agree upon a unifying experience. This exploration of memory further causes the women to face their individual demons and accept the realities they have been hiding from themselves.
