Activities for Italian Studies Students

Italian Studies Tutor

The Italian Studies program has an undergraduate tutor to help students of Italian.  The tutor is available to help students with grammar explanations, required speaking in Italian, reviewing for written or oral exams, or proofreading Italian compositions.  The tutor's hours are posted in the Language Resource Center.

The Italian Club

Whether you are formally studying Italian or you simply have an interest in Italian, all students at IWU are welcome to attend Italian cultural night activities on campus organized by Andiamo!, the Italian Studies Registered Student Organization (RSO).

Andiamo!, the Italian Club, offers students many extracurricular opportunities to experience both contemporary Italian culture as well as Italian-American culture.  Andiamo! sponsors regular film nights and Italian meals.  Our club is proud to have been awarded a grant from the National Italian American Foundation to host a field trip to discover Chicago's "little Italy!"

The Italian Studies program tutor helps to organize events for Andiamo!, in addition to the club officers.  We are always looking for student leadership, so please contact Professor Scott Sheridan if you are interested in helping out.
