Kim Schultz earned her B.S.N. from the University of Maine in 1978.
Before coming to Illinois Wesleyan University, Ms. Schultz was a Clinical Coordinator/Nursing Supervisor and Emergency Room Triage nurse at Bromenn Regional Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois. Prior to this, while a Department of the Army civilian, she had a continued experience in general surgical, post anesthesia care unit and critical care at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and the 34th General Hospital, Augsburg, Germany. She received certification in critical care while at University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. Additional critical care experience was from the University of Illinois Hospitals and Clinics, Chicago, and the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. Ms. Schultz initially practiced in orthopedics at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine.

Ms. Schultz is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Medical Reserve Corps in McLean County, Bloomington.
