Public Health Degree Requirements

Public Health Major 

Required Core Courses:

  • HLTH 101: Introduction to Public Health (LSI, U)

  • HLTH 204/PSYC 204: Health Psychology
  • HLTH 280: Perspectives in Global Health (G)
  • JOUR 315: Public Relations and Strategic Communication

  • HLTH 490: Practicum 

In addition, students will select five courses across the domains listed below. At least 4 of the courses taken for the major must be upper division (300 level) or higher.
