Sheahon Zenger Named 21st President of Illinois Wesleyan University

Sheahon J. Zenger, previously the interim president at the University of New Haven, has been named the 21st president of Illinois Wesleyan University, effective July 1.

Next Generation of Titan Graduates Celebrated at 2024 Commencement

The graduating class of 2024 was honored Sunday during a commencement ceremony on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University.

Survey Finds 99% of 2023 Grads Employed or Continuing Education

Nearly 99% of alumni from the class of 2023 were employed or continuing their education within six months of graduating from Illinois Wesleyan University, according to the annual First Destination Survey conducted by IWU’s Hart Career Center. 

Alum Shares Passion for Supporting LGBTQ Individuals in Honor of Pride Month

IWU Board of Trustees Member Dirk L. Behrends ‘87 is an advocate for equality and elevating marginalized voices. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Behrends said, "If I can help members of my community remove or navigate around any barrier to full human equality, then my time and treasure have been well spent."

Olivia Lett '12 was named the head women's basketball coach for University of Illinois Springfield. As a student athlete, she helped lead the IWU women's basketball team to the 2012 NCAA Division III National Championship.

Several Juneteenth celebrations will be taking place in Bloomington and the surrounding communities. The holiday has been celebrated for over 150 years, but the first-ever celebration in Bloomington took place on the quad of Illinois Wesleyan University in 1993.
