  • Yoga I   The Basics

    Monday/Wednesday: 4:15 - 5:15 pm 

    Tuesday/Thursday: 12:15 - 12:50 pm

    Shirk South East Classroom (New Shirk Addition)

    The journey that is yoga begins with this class as you learn (or review) basic asanas (postures). You will practice breath work and meditation in a relaxing environment while building strength, increasing flexibility and improving balance. This gentle class will be tailored to meet the needs of the individual yogis.

  • Pilates  

    Monday/ Wednesday 12:15 - 12:50 p.m.

    Shirk South East Classroom (New Shirk Addition)

    Come invigorate your mind, strengthen your core and condition your body using the principles of Pilates. Pilates teaches body awareness and good posture while increasing core strength, flexibility and agility. Class will focus on classic mat Pilates using stability balls and hand weights to tone arms, legs and upper back as well as the core, taking you through everything you need to achieve a fit and healthy body.

  • Strength and Stretch   

    Thursday 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.

    South East Classroom (New Shirk Addition)

    This strength circuit class incorporates single and multi-joint resistance exercises for all the major muscle groups using resistance bands, dumbbells and much more.  The class will finish with progressive stretching for improved flexibility.

  • Zumba

    CNS Dance Studio A

    ZUMBA is a fun, Latin inspired dance fitness class that is taking the world by storm! The class incorporates exciting and unique Latin moves and rhythms into an effective fitness system. ZUMBA allows you to dance your way to a fitter you in a friendly party-like atmosphere!

  • Functional Training  

    Monday/Wednesday/ Friday 12:15 - 12:45 p.m.

    Shirk Fitness Center

    This class will introduce the concept of functional training and teach exercises that will not only increase muscular strength and endurance, but also improve balance, agility and stamina by mimicking everyday movement patterns. Various training systems and modalities will be explored including resistance bands and free weights, with an emphasis on safety through proper execution.

  • Tai Chi Yang Long Form 

    Saturday 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

    Shirk Activity Center or Quad

    Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese blend of exercise, meditation and self-defense. Take the opportunity to explore the gentle flowing movement of Tai Chi to improve balance, increase strength and range of motion and enhance the immune system.

  •   Southeast Asian Martial Arts

    This class will blend various martial arts from the Philippines (Kali), Indonesia and Malaysia (Silat) and Thailand (Thai Boxing). Drills and techniques for application in self-defense will be taught in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
