Unity Gala Aims to Bring Joy, Celebrate Campus Community

A celebration of the cultural richness within the community at Illinois Wesleyan University will take place at the sixth annual Unity Gala from 7-11:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 2 at Hansen Student Center.

Faculty-Staff Open Forum

On Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 11 a.m. to noon in Young Main Lounge, President Georgia Nugent will provide an update on reports from senior leadership for the Board of Trustees at their February meeting, detailing the many initiatives being taken to ensure the University's long-term future.

Upcoming Flexible Spending Deadlines

If you have a remaining balance in your 2023 Flexible Spending account:

  • March 15, 2024 is the deadline to incur expenses to use toward your 2023 balance.
  • April 30, 2024 is the deadline for BPC to receive your requests for reimbursement.

 

You can check your balance by contacting BPC at 877-272-8880 or by logging in to your account at www.bpcinc.com.

 

All Flex requests for reimbursement should be sent directly to BPC. Requests can be sent by mail, fax, online through the BPC website or by using the BPC phone app. If you need a reimbursement form, an electronic form can be found on the BPC website and the HR Employee Benefits webpage.

Sam Stahnke '05, vice president and operating partner of ARCO National Construction's Kansas City division, was recently inducted into the REjournals Midwest Commercial Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognizes industry leaders who have helped shape the commercial development landscape of their cities and beyond.

 

Scholar in Residence James E. House is the author of "Introduction to Solid State Chemistry," a textbook for upper-level undergraduate and beginning-graduate students. The book has been published by Elsevier with full color illustrations, and is available in print and electronic versions.
