Encounters Podcast

Encounters is a brand new podcast from the Office of Multifaith Engagement exploring religious practices and beliefs at IWU and beyond. Each episode will focus on a worldview topic through the personal experiences of members of our IWU community. From the familiar to the less-known, Encounters offers insight into the rich worldview diversity at IWU, whether religious, spiritual, or secular. We invite you to tune in and be challenged to think differently about the commonalities that connect us and the differences that make us unique.

For our first episode, join host Maeve Plunkett '21 in learning about fasting practices among different world traditions, including Catholicism, Islam, Hinduism, and Judaism. Did you know that each of these traditions practice fasting at certain times of the year? Do you know what fasting entails in each of these traditions?

We hope you enjoy! Link to listen.
