Technos Students Attend Technos International Week
Anna Schultz-Breef '21, Seth Morgan '22 and R. Forrest Colwell Endowed Chair and Professor of English James Plath are traveling to Tokyo for a two-week cultural exchange, as Illinois Wesleyan's representatives for Technos International Week.

Freeman group Freeman Asia Program Sends 36 IWU Students Abroad
A group of 36 Illinois Wesleyan students will spend the summer working at internship sites in four countries across Asia, with their expenses paid thanks to funding from the Freeman Foundation.

Eric R. Jensen announced to the University's Board of Trustees and the campus community his retirement and subsequent resignation as president, effective at the end of May.

Tim Illinois Wesleyan Elects New Board Chair, Officers and Trustees
Timothy J. Szerlong, a 1974 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan, has been elected Chair of the University's Board of Trustees. He succeeds George A. Vinyard, who has served IWU as a trustee for 42 years, including 14 years as Board Chair.

  • The Illinois Wesleyan men's golf team won the school's eighth all-time NCAA Division III national team championship, taking a three-shot victory in the 42-team 2019 NCAA Division III Championships at the Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky, on Friday, May 17.

Summer Camps on Campus

Conference Services is welcoming the following overnight groups to campus this June:


June 11-15 — Head Football Coach Norm Eash is hosting the Shriners All-Star Football Camp, using the Shirk Center and Tucci Stadium, with the Illinois High School Shrine Game taking place at Tucci Stadium on Saturday, June 15 at 11 a.m.
June 13-16 — A youth leadership camp will be using the Memorial Student Center, the Hansen Student Center, the Center for Natural Sciences, and the Eckley Quad.
June 16-18 — Coach Eash will be using Tucci Stadium to host the Midwest Linemen Football Camp.
June 18-20 — A youth performance camp will be using the Memorial Student Center and State Farm Hall to empower attendees to learn about healthy choices, positive leadership, good decision making and accountability.
June 18-21 — Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Lindsey Kellar will be holding the Illinois Wesleyan Junior Titans Lacrosse Camp at Tucci Stadium.
June 18-21 — A youth dance camp will be using the Hansen Student Center.
June 22-23 —Titan Shoot-Out Basketball Camp will be at the Shirk Center, hosted by Head Men's Basketball Coach Ron Rose.
June 23-29 — Illinois Wesleyan's biology and chemistry departments will host incoming first-year students for a week-long sampling of courses and lab sessions at the SPLICE (Science Program for Leadership, Inquiry, and Campus Engagement) camp.
