12 p.m., Davidson Room, Memorial Center – Non-Org: The Promotional Intellectual - Ways to Share What You're Working on – Faculty work hard on artistic and scholarly projects. How might they be shared more broadly? Teaching, Learning and Technology Strategist Kate Browne and Professor of English and Writing Program Director Mike Theune will offer some ways – focused on blogs – to get your work further out into the world, including embedding pdfs, engaging search engine optimization, and translating work into more easily shareable and consumable multi-modal blog posts. This presentation also will be relevant to all who use eportfolios in their teaching, offering ways to help students think more deeply about how they present their work.

Through Friday, April 12, Eckley Quad, other locations throughout campus – Arts Slam – A campus takeover in celebration of the arts at Illinois Wesleyan will feature three days of fun and spontaneous events across campus from the School of Art, School of Music and School of Theatre Arts.

7 p.m., Hansen Student Center – "Normal is Over" Film Screening and Discussion with Director Renée Scheltema – The award-winning documentary "Normal is Over" will be screened, followed by a Q&A/discussion with Renée Scheltema, an investigative TV-journalist and director of the documentary, who is the keynote speaker at Saturday's John Wesley Powell Student Research Conference. The film features Naomi Oreskes, who was IWU's Founders' Day speaker in January, as well as the Stevenson Lecture Series speaker, Dr. Vandanna Shiva.
