Posse Plus Retreat

Posse Plus Retreat

Feb. 22-23
Williamson Retreat Center, Carlinville, Illinois

The theme of this year's Posse Plus Retreat is the State of Our Union, and will focus on deep discussion about critical topics in the U.S. As described by the Posse Foundation: “We are facing a pivotal moment of unparalleled contradictions: An increasingly diverse society torn by intense polarization. Record-breaking profits and stagnant wages. The rebirth of urban centers amid the rise of gentrification. Technological advances and the degradation of our environment. How do you feel about the State of Our Union?”

The retreat is free for all students, faculty and staff. Transportation, lodging, meals and snacks are provided. Participation is limited to 100 registrants and we encourage you to register early. We ask that registrants make a commitment to attending fully as you are taking a spot of others who may hope to attend. We will leave campus at approximately 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22 and return no later than 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24.

Register with this link by Feb. 11. Questions? Please contact the Dean of Students office (dstudent@iwu.edu) or any Posse Scholar.
