International Education Week – Observed Nov. 13-17, International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. The International Office will host a range of activities designed to promote varied ways international education appears on our campus.
11:30 a.m., Merwin and Wakeley Galleries, Joyce Eichhorn Ames School of Art – Artist Talk to Launch New Exhibits – There will be a public artist talk in connection with the exhibit, "Distant Tracings // Tracing Distance," by Claudia Esslinger with Tom Giblin, as it opens for display in the Merwin Gallery. "Drawing out a Narrative," an exhibit by Andrea Moreau, will be in the Wakeley Gallery.
8:30 a.m. - 12:10 p.m., Hart Career Center – Practice Interviews with Keith Schomig of Legacy Professionals, LLP – Time slots are still available; students may sign up on Titan CareerLink.
11 a.m., Dugout, Memorial Center – Positivity Poultry – Come visit NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) On Campus as we create a turkey by giving it feathers stating affirmations, what we're grateful for, or anything positive we feel like sharing.
12 p.m., Davidson Room, Memorial Center – Non-Org: Safe Zone Training 101 – Director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion Greta Franklin will present a workshop providing a general overview of terminology and identities associated with those who identify as LGBQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer) and TGNC (transgender, gender non-conforming).
5:30 p.m., Davidson Room, Memorial Center – Secular Identities Panel – Have you ever wanted to learn about atheism, agnosticism, secular humanism, or non-religiousness from a secular person? Well, here's your chance! IWU Secular Student Alliance will host a panel of secular students who will answer question about their identities, what they mean to them, how their secular identities may intersect with other identities, and more. 11 a.m. (daily through Friday) The Dugout, Memorial Center – Daily Dugout International RSO table – As part of International Education Week, an International RSO table will be staged in the Dugout. International students will share their talents and information about their culture. Come and enjoy the performances!

4 p.m., Auditorium, Welcome Center – Freeman Asia Internship Program Information Session – The procedure for applying for summer 2018 internships will be discussed, as well as brief descriptions of the 16 internship sites. 11 a.m., E104, CNS – Study Abroad Information Session, London – Be a part of the Fall 2018 IWU London Program! Fulfill Gen Ed requirements, participate in an optional internship and find out why London is one of the world's greatest cities.
11:30 a.m., 101, State Farm Hall – Study Abroad Information Session, Africa – Take the road less traveled and study abroad in Africa! Come to this brown-bag session to learn about SIT's experiential programs in Uganda and Tanzania. Suitable for all students, particularly those interested in environment, health, gender, politics, development studies, and ecology.
12 p.m., E101, CNS – Academic Skills Series - Procrastination: Getting Started on Getting Started – The Divisions of Academic and Student Affairs collaborate each semester to present a series of programs designed to assist students in the development and/or strengthening of academic skills (in and out of the classroom) needed to be successful at IWU. 3 p.m., Welcome Center Auditorium – Intellectual Property for Small Businesses – Join Illinois Wesleyan alumni Ann Palma '07 and Nicholas Leonard '02, accomplished intellectual property attorneys at McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff, LLP in Chicago, who will share with small business owners their expertise in obtaining patents, trademarks, and copyrights, and how to avoid infringing upon those of other businesses.
