12 p.m., Davidson Room, Memorial Center – Non-Org: Students with Disabilities and Accommodations – The number of students with disabilities attending college continues to rise nationally and at IWU. Chandra Shipley, Director of Academic Advising and Coordinator of Disability Services, will provide a snapshot of IWU's population of students with disabilities. In addition, she will review the process to obtain accommodations, the accommodations which support these students (in and outside of the classroom), ways that students with disabilities struggle in the college setting, and tips for supporting students with disabilities.

7:30 a.m., Davidson Room, Memorial Center – Faculty/Staff Health Screening & Flu Shots – (Health Screening: 7:30-9 a.m.;
Flu Shots: 7:30 a.m.-12 p.m.)
The health screening will include a fasting blood draw to test for cholesterol/lipid levels, a full metabolic panel including blood sugar, and an optional PSA test for men. Flu shots will also be an option. These services are available to anyone participating in the Illinois Wesleyan health insurance plan. If you would like to participate in the screening, you will need to reserve a space by calling the Wellness Office at 556-3334 or emailing wellness@iwu.edu, no later than today (Monday, Oct. 16).
12 p.m., E101, CNS – Academic Skills Series - Advising 101: Meeting Your Graduation Requirements – The Divisions of Academic and Student Affairs collaborate each semester to present a series of programs designed to assist students in the development and/or strengthening of academic skills (in and out of the classroom) needed to be successful at IWU. Free Papa John's pizza provided for lunch.
3 p.m., 102, State Farm Hall – Poli-Talks - Title IX: Time to Respond – Dean of Students Karla Carney-Hall and Associate Dean of Students Darcy L. Greder will lead a discussion in the Poli-Talks series, sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
4 p.m., Beckman Auditorium, The Ames Library – A New Kind of Old: Reimagining Historic Sites for the 21st Century – Matthew Cassady '06, Program Development Specialist with the Minnesota Historical Society and IWU history alumnus, will speak, sponsored by the History Department.
