The book examines how white readers engage with African American texts (through book clubs, listening to hip hop, watching films) in ways that are both problematic and can potentially lead to genuine self-examination and change.

Campus Safety Walk
The annual Campus Safety Walk will occur on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m. Chuck Adam (Security), Jim Blumberg (Physical Plant), Matthew Damschroder (ORL), Karla Carney-Hall (Dean of Students), and Jake Thaker (Student Senate) will walk campus reviewing lighting, landscaping or other areas with safety in mind.
Faculty, staff and students are invited to submit any areas of concern by emailing dstudent@iwu.edu or calling the Dean of Students office (556-3111). If you would like to join the Campus Safety Walk, you are also welcome to do so. Please notify the Dean of Students office of your interest.
