First Year Leadership Institute

The First Year Leadership Institute is an opportunity for first year students to get more involved on campus and learn the basics of leadership. Throughout the program students will have the opportunity to make connections with fellow students, learn more about how they lead and what it means to be a leader, and receive support from the Office of Student Activities and Leadership programs. The First Year Leadership institute is a program that takes place every fall semester and kicks off at the end of the Turning Titan Orientation week.

In alignment with our institutional mission, this program provides a unique opportunity for first year students to grow in their leadership skills and self-awareness. This program encourages students to explore creativity, strengthen critical thinking, establish effective communication, and build character and personal values.

First year students are encouraged to apply in the summer prior to starting their first fall semester.
