First Year Leadership Institute
The First Year Leadership Institute is an opportunity for first year students to get more involved on campus and learn the basics of leadership. Throughout the program students will have the opportunity to make connections with fellow students, learn more about how they lead and what it means to be a leader, and receive support from the Office of Student Activities and Leadership programs. The First Year Leadership institute takes place every fall semester. First Year students who are interested in the program should attend the First Year Leadership Institute Intro during Mission Day (August 25, 2017) in order to apply.
In alignment with our institutional mission, this program provides a unique opportunity for first year students to grow in their leadership skills and self-awareness. This program encourages students to explore creativity, strengthen critical thinking, establish effective communication, and build character and personal values.
First year students are encouraged to sign up for and attend the First Year Leadership Institute Intro during Mission Day of Turning Titan Orientation week. Students will receive an email with the Mission Day options and can sign up for the Intro session at that time. Those that attend the Intro session will be encouraged to apply to the program.
