The TOL selection process consists of three stages: application, group interview process, and spring orienation. These application stages are described below. See our Frequently Asked Questions for additional information. There is also a powerpoint with basic information regarding the TOL position and expectations and dates/commitments for Turning Titan 2018:
Stage 1: Application Process
Interested students will complete a brief application to compile some basic information to allow the selection committee to learn why you would make an amazing TOL. Online applications will be live by Monday, March 6, 2017. Applications will go live on Wednesday January 17, 2018 and close Friday February 9, 2018. The application provides applicants with the opportunity the share why they want to be a TOL and discuss why you should be selected to serve as a resource for the incoming class during their transition to collegiate life. Decisions about who will move on to the group process will be emailed by Friday, February 16, 2018. Please click on the link below to complete the online application.
Stage 2: Group Interview Process
The group interview process provides the opportunity for perspective TOL applicants to participate in fun activities that will challenge them to think about their values and discuss situations that they may encounter as a TOL. This process will take place on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 5pm, location TBD (*returners do not have to participate in this process). Applicants will be notified of their acceptance as a TOL by Friday March 8th.
Stage 3: Spring Orientation
Titan Orientation Leader applicants must attend Spring Orientation. Spring Orientation will be a time for the TOLs to get to know and bond with each other. At this time, they will also get their orientation assignment (new student orientation group leader, parent orientation leader, or Turning Titan runner) and receive their copy of the 2018 Summer Reading Book. TOL Spring Orientation will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 4:00-5:00pm, location TBD.
