The TOL selection process consists of two stages: application and spring orientation. These application stages are described below. See our Frequently Asked Questions for additional information. There is also a powerpoint with basic information regarding the TOL position and expectations and dates/commitments for Turning Titan 2017:
Stage 1: Application process
Interested students will complete a brief application to compile some basic information and will create a video to allow the selection committee to learn why you would make an amazing TOL. Online applications will be live by Monday, March 6, 2017. Application review will begin on Monday, March 20, 2017--immediately following Spring Break. The application will have the questions that should be addressed in your video. Videos should not be longer than 3 minutes, 30 seconds. This is a time to display your personality and showcase why you should be selected to serve as a resource for the incoming class during their transition to collegiate life--so feel free to be creative! You should upload your video to your IWU Google Drive and then share it with editing permission with Kelli Perkins at firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications received after this date will be reviewed as needed. Decisions will be emailed by Friday, March 31, 2017. Please click on the link below to complete the online application.
Stage 2: Online Profile
Titan Orientation Leader applicants must attend Spring Orientation. Spring Orientation will be a time for the TOLs to get to know and bond with each other. At this time, they will also get their orientation assignment (new student orientation group leader, parent orientation leader, or Turning Titan runner) and receive their copy of the 2017 Summer Reading Book. TOL Spring Orientation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 (Reading Day) from 3:00-4:00pm, location TBD.
