• Illinois Wesleyan multis/javelin/high jump coach Lisa Becharas was honored by her NCAA Division III peers as the Women's Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2015 outdoor track & field season, announced May 27 by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

* See campus facility hours for summer

Through 7:30 a.m. Friday, June 5: Main boilers will be shut down for maintenance. Bertholf Commons, the Coffee Shoppe and Dugout will be closed.

Limited power outages also are planned in campus buildings today (June 1) through Wednesday, June 3.

* Barring any problems with the scheduled outage this morning at the Hansen Student Center, Tommy's will be open for lunch.

Experience IWU: Parent Orientation – Parents and guardians of the incoming class of Illinois Wesleyan University students are invited to campus to learn more about their students' upcoming transition to college.

• Paintings by Professor of Art Miles Bair will be displayed in the Duane Reed Gallery in St. Louis through July 3 as part of an exhibition, "Into the Woods."

• Associate Professor of Business Administration Fred Hoyt is participating in the Faculty Development in International Business Program in South Africa, Zambia and Botswana. Read his blog.

• Jenny Prochotsky '16 was featured in her former high school's student news publication, Libertyville High School's Drops of Ink, discussing her gap year participating in Mercyships, an independent ship organization that helps bring hospital services to underdeveloped countries.

St. Louis Business Journal
Janel (Maitland) Patterson '92 created a social media site aimed at providing a safer experience for users of all ages. (Through IWU connections – especially Associate Professor of Business Administration Fred Hoyt – new graduate Arin Calamari '15 is now business development manager for the company.)

Patterson also was interviewed on KTRS Radio and KMOX Radio.

Eric O. Siebert '00 was appointed vice president of corporate strategy at Energy Recovery Inc.

Illinois Wesleyan students, led by Ojaswee Shrestha '18 from Nepal, raised funds for earthquake relief.
