A Bloomington sculptor partnered with adjunct assistant professor and director of Merwin and Wakeley Galleries Carmen Lozar and her students to design an industrial figure that was added to a sculpture park at 410 S. Madison St. in Bloomington.

The Shirk Center will open at 8 a.m. weekdays during May Term, instead of 6 a.m. as originally planned.
