The Illinois Symphony Orchestra has elected Professor and Director of the School of Music Franklin Larey and Associate Professor of the School of Nursing Noel Kerr as new members of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors. Kerr’s term of office extends through June of 2023 and Larey’s term extends through June of 2024.
In announcing these elections, ISO Board President John Kauerauf '83 said, “The ISO values the expertise brought to the Board by leaders of the academic institutions in the communities in which the ISO both performs and provides musical enrichment for people of all ages. As the leader of IWU’s School of Music, Dr. Larey brings to the Board his wealth of experience in both music performance and music education.
"Dr. Kerr’s election helps the Board better connect to Bloomington-Normal’s academic and medical communities. We are excited and pleased that both have agreed to serve.”
