Through Dec. 3, Joyce Eichhorn Ames School of Art Building – Art Exhibits – In the Wakeley Gallery: Faculty Biennial. In the Merwin Gallery: Boundaries – 16 local artists visually respond to interviews of children who were held at U.S. immigration facilities. Local artists include alumni Spencer Sauter '70 and Dustin Springer '13, along with IWU faculty Associate Professor of Art Connie Estep, Adjunct Assistant Professor Claire Hedden, Interim Director of the School of Art and Associate Professor of Art Julie Johnson, Assistant Professor of Art Joshua Lowe and Emeritus Professor of Art Kevin Strandberg.

4 p.m., Zoom – Virtual Space: A BIPOC Community Group – We invite members of the community that self-identify as BIPOC: Black/Brown, Indigenous, and People of Color to attend a virtual community circle to discuss a range of topics that impact and affect our identities and perception of self. The conversation is curated by the group so discussions can be about any present issue or resolution that affect how you see yourself. Virtual SPACE promotes joy, healing, love, care, and respect. We welcome all folx who self-identify as BIPOC to join us. Titled "The Fabulist," the article is summarized: "Mining the expressive power of flameworking, Carmen Lozar renders poignant allegorical scenes that speak to contemporary concerns with the authority of timeless fables."

On-Campus Testing
Please use this form to register if you would like to participate in on-campus surveillance testing on Wednesdays (11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Shirk Center). Deadline for registration is 1 p.m. Monday before the testing date.

 

We encourage testing by any student, staff or faculty members – including those who are fully vaccinated – who have concerns about their virus exposure or who have even the mildest of physical symptoms.
