6 p.m., Zoom Room (email ascanlon@iwu.edu for link and password) – Personal Statements for PreHealth: Getting Started – Part 1 of 3 (You do not have to attend all 3 workshops): This Writing Center workshop will introduce the steps to start your personal statement in career fields related to health, and key points of the genre. Examples of successful statements will be shared and discussed.

Wednesday, March 10
4 p.m., Zoom and State Farm Hall – Amnesty International Human Rights Event –
Four different organizations will present information about human rights related to their cause: Immigration Project (virtually only), Black Student Union (hybrid), Pride Alliance (hybrid), FEM (hybrid), and Sierra Student Coalition (hybrid).
The event will be one hour, consisting of two information sessions, a 10-minute intermission, and a 10-minute closing discussion. Attendees can decide which two groups they would like to attend in-person or virtually. This event's purpose is for students to walk away knowing more about ways they can help bring social justice to the world. Sign up for the event here.
7 p.m., Virtual – Sports Career Panel – Are you interested in pursuing a career in sports? This sports career panel will give insight for students interested in working in the sports industry. Our versatile alumni panelists have worked with the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Fire, and more.

Elizabeth is currently the Executive Director of the Association Acumen in Milwaukee utilizing her skills in non-profit management and marketing. This is a great opportunity for music or marketing majors to explore career options and develop their interview skills!
