Through Friday, Nov. 6 – Entry level southeast corner, The Ames Library – Election 2020 Discussion Wall – During library open hours, any member of the IWU campus community is welcome to reply to the prompts on the bulletin boards and dry erase boards. Students living away from campus can participate remotely via this Google form. Sponsored by the IWU Action Research Center.
Tuesday, Nov. 3
1-3 p.m., Hansen Student Center – Election Day Treats for Voting – Student Senate is providing free cookies and after-election resources for students.
Through Thursday, Nov. 4 – Poli-Free Zones – On Election Day and the day after, the Office of Residential Life is creating bubble wrap de-stressor squares that will be available for pick up throughout the lobbies of our residence halls.
Wednesday, Nov. 4
Through Nov. 11 – Class Registration for Spring
All Semester, Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Hansen Student Center – Poli-Process Zone – On Nov. 4 and throughout the rest of the semester, ODI will provide treats, light-hearted media and the opportunity to engage in real discussions in either the Director or the Outreach Coordinator offices. These spaces will provide grab-bags of goodies and resources for self-care and further civic engagement.
8 a.m.-3 p.m., TV Lounge, Hansen Student Center – Office of Student Involvement: Poli-Free Zone – The Office of Student Involvement will have snacks and de-stress coloring opportunities.
9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Lower Level, Evelyn Chapel – Office of Multifaith Engagement: Poli-Free Zone – Snacks will be provided all day, a screen will be provided for gaming and/or movies, and coloring and other de-stressing activities will be provided.
12 p.m., Zoom – Procrastination: Getting Started on Getting Started (Academic Skills Series) – Register here. Students are invited to join the Action Research Center for the Academic Skills Series every Wednesday. Our Student Success Tutors cover a different topic each week. 2-3 p.m., Beckman Auditorium, The Ames Library – Dean of Students Office: Poli-Talk Zone – The Dean of Students Office will host a Poli-Talk Zone co-facilitated by Dean Karla Carney-Hall and Zoe Bouras '18, Adjunct Instructor in Political Science.
3-4:30 p.m., TV Lounge, Hansen Student Center – Office of Student Involvement: Poli-Talk Zone – The Office of Student Involvement will host a "Poli-Talk" for open discussion and debriefing about the election.
3-4:30 p.m., Virtual – International Office: Poli-Talk Zone – International Student and Scholar Advisor Robyn Walter will be available, via Google Meet, to chat with international students about questions they may have about the election process.
Friday, Nov. 6
12:30-1:30 p.m., Lower Level, Evelyn Chapel – Poli-Talk Zone: "Where Are Things at Now and What is the Upcoming Process?" – Professor of Political Science Jim Simeone and Interim Chaplain Monica Corsaro will lead a discussion following up on the national election.
7 p.m., Hansen Student Center – Campus Feud – Get ready to be a part of everybody's favorite television game show – we're playing Family Feud! The virtual link and signup form has been sent out to the student body; sponsored by the Campus Activities Board.
