Through Friday, Nov. 15, Memorial Center – African Student Association: Myths and Facts about Africa Interactive Exhibit – Across from the International Education Week 2019 display, the African Student Association, the African Studies Team, and the Anthropology Department will create an interactive display.

12:10 p.m., Vinyard Room (former Davidson Room), Memorial Center – IEW 2019: How To Pronounce Chinese Names – This workshop is useful for all faculty and staff who have even casual interaction with our Chinese students, who frequently prefer to use their Chinese names, involving sounds and intonation with which English speakers aren't experienced. Alumna Stella Wang '17 will offer a brief beginners' workshop on the significance of names in China and why it's important and respectful to honor students' names, with the opportunity to practice basic Chinese names.

5:30 p.m., Meet at Campus Safety – Campus Safety Walk – Please join Student Affairs for the annual Campus Safety Walk where we walk campus with an eye to any safety concerns (lighting, landscaping, sidewalk/trip hazards, etc). We welcome students, faculty and staff to join us or to send problem area descriptions to dstudent@iwu.edu. If you send a description, please be specific (location, issue; feel free to include a photo). We look forward to this safety assessment of our campus grounds.
