Ondra Healthcare Policy Expert to Speak at Commencement
Dr. Stephen L. Ondra '80, a former military surgeon and leading healthcare policy expert, will deliver Illinois Wesleyan's Commencement address as the University celebrates graduates in the Class of 2019 on Sunday, May 5.

  • The Illinois Wesleyan softball team clinched its 16th College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) softball title in program history by winning games over Carroll on Sunday, April 28, at IWU Softball Field.

  • With a Seniors' Day win over the University of Dubuque at Tucci Stadium on Saturday, April 27, the women's lacrosse team has now won two CCIW regular season titles in the five-year history of the program.

  • The men's lacrosse team secured the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin regular season title with a win over Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on Saturday, April 27 – the team's third-straight CCIW title.

Charles and Joyce Eichhorn Ames Professor of Physics Gabe Spalding traveled to Washington, D.C., to spend the day on April 26 talking to congressional representatives and senators about STEM Education, with a team from the American Association of Physics Teachers and the American Institute of Physics. Spalding is currently in his first year of a four-year term as Director-At-Large of the American Association of Physics Teachers.
