12:15-12:45 p.m., Evelyn Chapel – A Time for Prayer and Commitment – In Response to the Pittsburgh Synagogue Attack – The campus community is invited to gather to remember the victims of Saturday's Tree of Life Synagogue attack in Pittsburgh; to pray in solidarity for peace and justice in the face of antisemitism and hatred of every kind; and to renew commitments to eradicating the prevalence of guns and gun violence from our society.
3 p.m., Hansen Student Center – Q& A with Stevenson Lecture Speaker Theresa Payton – Theresa Payton, one of the nation's leading experts in cyber security and IT strategy, will offer a masterclass for Illinois Wesleyan and Illinois State students. Payton will deliver more formal remarks as part of the Adlai E. Stevenson Memorial Lecture Series at 7:30 p.m. in the Prairie Room of the Bone Student Center on the Illinois State University campus. The title of her remarks is “Hype or Reality? Your Workplace and Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & the Internet of Things.”
Through Dec. 10, Merwin and Wakeley Galleries, Joyce G. Eichhorn Ames School of Art – Exhibits "Strata" and "City and Empire" – The work of artists Heather Brammeier, Kathleen Gerber, Lindy Ihrman, Lori Nix and Leslie Speicher will be on display.

Speaker Arthur Pearson is the Director of Chicago Program for the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation, where he guides the Foundation’s support for land conservation and the arts. He will discuss his recently published book, Force of Nature: George Fell, Founder of the Natural Areas Movement. This event is free and open to all at IWU and the public, co-sponsored by the IWU Environmental Studies Program, the IWU Biology Department and the John Wesley Powell Audubon Society.

A series of African Culture Week activities will be sponsored Nov. 5-10 by the African Studies Program of International Studies, African Students Association, the Sociology and Anthropology Department, School of Music and School of Art.
