Photographers On Campus |
|
Photographers will be on campus Wednesday & Thursday, Oct. 4 & 5, and the morning of Friday, Oct. 6, to update needed campus photography for use in marketing materials and the IWU website.
Please be advised that in general, we do not collect photo release forms from members of the Illinois Wesleyan faculty, staff, or student body. Instead, we make the assumption that our Titan community members will welcome involvement in these activities. Therefore, we reserve the right to take photographs of campus facilities, events, faculty, staff and students in any areas of the campus where subjects would not have an expectation of privacy.
All photographs taken for or by Illinois Wesleyan are the property of the University and may be used for Illinois Wesleyan University promotional purposes, such as electronic and printed publications, websites, classroom use, advertisements, etc.

"The Songs of Trees: Stories from Nature's Great Connectors |
|
Tuesday, Oct. 3
7 p.m., Hansen Student Center
David Haskell, an award-winning author and professor of biology and Guggenheim Fellow at Sewanee: The University of the South, will talk about his recently published book, The Songs of Trees: Stories from Nature’s Great Connectors. His presentation will describe how trees and all living organisms are inextricably linked together through biological networks. By meticulously observing and listening to trees around the world, Haskell demonstrates how such interconnections make life on Earth as we know it possible.
This event is co-sponsored by the IWU Biology Department with funding from the Beach Lewis fund, IWU Environmental Studies Program, and John Wesley Powell Audubon. It is free and open to the public. | |
