12:10 p.m., Davidson Room, Memorial Center – Faculty Non-Org: "New Entrepreneurship Initiatives" – Three new initiatives have been in development for several months: three related programs that follow three very separate paths leading to the successful development of student entrepreneurs. The first is an interdisciplinary major in design that capitalizes on our strengths as a liberal arts institution with strengths in the arts and sciences. An entrepreneurial minor and an entrepreneurial certificate are also in process. The external funding for these programs has prompted some faculty discussion regarding possible donor influence on IWU curriculum development. Pragmatic questions have arisen about the long-term funding of these initiatives in a period of diminishing resources. Members of the faculty have developed the proposals, and will be present to answer questions.

Although these topics are addressed in a variety of ways, the overarching goal of Dicktations is to get the audience to think at a deeper and more critical level about a) what it means to be a man in this society, b) the implications behind men having to "fit" into a certain image, and c) how can men be their true authentic selves in a society filled with so many expectations.
