For the second straight year, Illinois Wesleyan’s job placement ranked No. 1 in Illinois and No. 7 nationally, according to Zippia’s list of the “Best College in Each State for Getting a Job.”
First-year Illinois Wesleyan economics major Victoria Ballesteros-Gonzalez spoke to a United Nations panel as part of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
Broadway show Moulin Rouge!, executive produced by Illinois Wesleyan alumnus Bill Damaschke ’85 – and now on stage in Chicago – earned 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
Since winning an IWU fellowship to start their Honeymoon Chocolates business as students, Cameron '18 and Haley Loyet '17 have grown the enterprise and received Arch Grant funding – awarded to extraordinary entrepreneurs in the St. Louis area.

Titan Athletics
Senior Matthew Leritz (St. Louis University H.S.) headlined the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America teams as Division III's Academic All-America of the Year in men's basketball. 

 

Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball has more AAA honorees than any program in the U.S., across all divisions. With Leritz' selection, Titan Athletics' all-time Academic All-American list now sits at 143, which is in the top 25 across NCAA Division I, II, and III.

Zach Freeman '07 was named the next principal at Bloomington’s Washington Elementary School, where he will replace fellow IWU alumnus Jeff Lockenvitz '84, who is retiring after 37 years in education.
Return on Investment
A study published this year by Georgetown University ranked more than 4,400 colleges and universities in America in terms of return on investment. Based on earnings 10 years after graduation, Illinois Wesleyan alumni were in the top 5% nationwide.
