Despite economic uncertainty amid the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 95% of Illinois Wesleyan's Class of 2020 were employed or enrolled in graduate or professional programs within six months of graduation.
Illinois Wesleyan alumnus Peter Haas ’88 has been nominated by President Joe Biden to serve as U.S. ambassador to Bangladesh.
The latest IWU Magazine is now online and coming soon to mailboxes, featuring a cover story on Burke Nihill ’00, president and CEO of the NFL's Titans, plus features on the campus leadership of Vickie Folse ’86 through the COVID-19 pandemic, and the recent reimagination of student radio station WESN.

Emmett Zima '21 of the Illinois Wesleyan football team was named Second Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Overall, IWU's all-time Academic All-American list now sits at 136, which is tied for 25th across NCAA Division I, II, and III.

We are looking forward to welcoming our alumni, parents, and friends back to campus for an in-person celebration this fall – it is our full intention to once again provide the traditional Homecoming experience. We will follow any COVID-19 protocols recommended at that time by state health authorities and the Centers for Disease Control to ensure the health and safety of our campus community and the greater Bloomington-Normal area.
