Homecoming is October 1-3, 2021! The pivot to remote learning under COVID was a challenge met by the hard work of employees throughout IWU's campus. Staff in Information Technology Services were responsive to students, working to deploy 600 wi-fi access points in an "astounding" six weeks over the extended semester break. Their efforts were featured in a Juniper Networks case study.

In recent highlights,
Steve Watts '71 was awarded the Thomas B. Herring Community Service Award by the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce for "volunteer activities exemplifying the true meaning of service to others and a willingness to do so without recognition and publicity." Watts retired from the practice of law in 2018. He currently serves as chairman of the Knox County Mental Health (708) Board.
