GeorgeVinyard Honored for Decades of University Leadership

Recently retired Board of Trustees Chair George Vinyard '71 was recognized for nearly 50 years of service and leadership to the University during the Board's October meeting.

InternsFreeman Asia Interns Share Unique Experiences
Following a summer of cultural immersion at internship sites in four countries across Asia, 36 Illinois Wesleyan Freeman Asia interns shared their experiences during a recent poster presentation.

In recent highlights, Kathryn Totz '07 started a position as a UX Researcher at Baymard Institute. Prior to joining Baymard, she worked at Verint Foresee, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as a Senior Usability Analyst, after earning her Master of Science in Information degree in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Michigan in 2010.

  • Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing Amy Funk was interviewed for an article in Hearing Health Magazine, a publication of the Hearing Health Foundation. The interview highlighted her research on the hospital experience of older adults with hearing impairment.
    In addition, Funk presented her research at the Public Health Palliative Care International Conference in Sydney, Australia. She presented her findings from a study on experiencing the death of a sibling as a child.
