- The Chemical Educator, a peer-reviewed journal that deals with all aspects of education in chemistry, has launched a new section that will include articles designated as "Chemistry by Invitation." James E. House, Adjunct Professor of Chemistry and Scholar in Residence, has been appointed as Series Editor for the new section. The goal is to provide a collection of timely and authoritative reviews that will be written by specialists in the respective fields.
- Steve Vogel '68 will speak as part of the Lunch and Learn Series at the McLean County Museum of History. He will present "The Hendricks case: Thirty-five years later" at 12:10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, in the Fifer Courtroom (2nd floor).
- Robert W. Stach '67, Emeritus Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Michigan-Flint, recently penned the fourth book in his science fiction series. Titles in the series are Saving the Human Race, The Ice Age Comet, The Andromeda Galaxy and Beyond, and Time to Travel Again in Space.
