- The Illinois Wesleyan women's golf team won its fourth straight and 15th overall College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin championship on Saturday, Sept. 29, earning the conference's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship, to be held May 14-17 at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.

Charles and Joyce Eichhorn Ames Professor of Physics Gabriel Spalding was an SPIE Visiting Lecturer featured at the CReO Regional Congress of Optics, held at the Centro de Investigación Científica y de Educación Superior de Ensenada (CICESE), in Baja California, Mexico, Sept. 27-28. His invited talk was entitled, "Tailoring Temporal Delays: holographic fields, imaging, & dexterous manipulation of the microworld."
