Jenkins '69 Nominated for Golden Globe
School of Theatre Arts alum Richard Jenkins '69 has been nominated for both a Golden Globe and Critics' Choice award as best supporting actor for his role in “The Shape of Water.” The Globes are often seen as predictors of Oscar nominations, to be announced next month. | |
Student Earns $500 Grant for YWCA
Making a difference in the local community while learning to write an effective proposal in Illinois Wesleyan's Grant Writing course, Savanna Steck '18 earned a $500 grant for YWCA McLean County, which will enable the agency to serve healthier food to more than 330 children throughout the school year. | |

Getz Scholarship Makes College Dreams a Reality
Grateful for the scholarship support that enabled them to attend Illinois Wesleyan, class of 1977 alumni Herb and Susan Getz created a scholarship for similar students today. - Senior Conner O'Neil has become the first player from Illinois Wesleyan selected to play in the Patriot All-America Invitational golf event Dec. 29-31 at the Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield Park, Arizona. A field of 80 elite collegiate golfers have been chosen to compete on The Wigwam's famed Gold Course. In cooperation with the Folds of Honor Foundation, each golfer playing in the Patriot All-America represents a fallen soldier by carrying a golf bag with the name and branch of service of a fallen or injured military member.
