Nguyen '15 Places in Prestigious Math Competition
Tung Nguyen '15, a mathematics and economics double major, earned an Honorable Mention in the prestigious William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition.


Olt '93 to Direct Musical at Senior Repertory of Ohio
April Olt '93 will direct the musical "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" for the Senior Repertory of Ohio (SRO) Theatre Company in Columbus.


Tunnel of Oppression Seeks to Raise Awareness
An interactive Tunnel of Oppression -- including a Hall of Enlightenment -- will incorporate student work, seeking to raise awareness about social bias and what individuals can do to create change.

Erick Henderson '12 and Chair of Sociology/Anthropology and Associate Professor of Anthropology Rebecca Gearhart published "Observations on Eye Care in Lamu, Kenya: Overlooked Needs and Proposed Interventions" in the Journal of Global Health (Spring 2013, Volume 3, Issue 1), page 36.

Christine McHugh '82 directed her first film short, set to premiere at the Festival de Cannes Court Métrage this month. Her film, "On The Nature of Hotness," also was nominated for Best Comedy Short at the New York International Film Festival, where it will compete in June.

The film examines sex appeal from the social and spiritual to the biological and scientific, exploring what makes a person attractive in the modern age. McHugh lives in Santa Fe, Calif., and works as a performance coach on clients' spoken memoir presentations.
