• Erick Henderson '12 and Chair of Sociology/Anthropology and Associate Professor of Anthropology Rebecca Gearhart published "Observations on Eye Care in Lamu, Kenya: Overlooked Needs and Proposed Interventions" in the Journal of Global Health (Spring 2013, Volume 3, Issue 1), page 36.
• Christine McHugh '82 directed her first film short, set to premiere at the Festival de Cannes Court Métrage this month. Her film, "On The Nature of Hotness," also was nominated for Best Comedy Short at the New York International Film Festival, where it will compete in June.
The film examines sex appeal from the social and spiritual to the biological and scientific, exploring what makes a person attractive in the modern age. McHugh lives in Santa Fe, Calif., and works as a performance coach on clients' spoken memoir presentations.
