Illinois Wesleyan has joined more than 50 other academic libraries and the Educopia Institute in a project to create the Library Publishing Coalition.

 7 p.m., CNS C101 -- "Crops and Conservation: The Nature Conservancy's Mackinaw River Program" will be discussed by Krista Kirkham, applied scientist for the Illinois Chapter of The Nature Conservancy.

7 p.m., Beckman Auditorium, The Ames Library -- International Film Series -- The film "Ridicule" will be presented by Chair and Associate Professor of French James Matthews.

Friday, Feb. 1

4 p.m., CNS C101 -- Natural Science Colloquium -- Mark Opal of the Committee on Neurobiology, University of Chicago, will present "Identifying neural mechanisms underlying depression and anxiety using mouse models."

 7:30 p.m., Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (600 N. East St., Bloomington) -- The Wind Ensemble will perform.

Saturday, Feb. 2

• 11 a.m., Fort Natatorium -- Men's and women's swimming & diving vs. Wheaton and North Central.

• 6-11 p.m., Young Main Lounge, Memorial Center -- Barrio Fiesta -- The campus community is invited to join SALSA for a celebration of Latin American traditions, featuring food and dancing (student-choreographed dances, readings, and food will represent Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico). Following the choreographed performances, you can dance the night away during an open session of dancing.

, Hansen Student Center -- Come watch the Super Bowl on the big screen. There will be food!

Monday, Feb. 4

• 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m., Joslin Atrium, Memorial Center -- Cross-Cultural Relationship Workshops -- All IWU students, faculty and staff are welcome to join these workshops, sponsored by Counseling and Consultation Services, to explore ways to build and strengthen cross-cultural relationships.

• 8 p.m., E. Melba Johnson Kirkpatrick Laboratory Theatre -- Red Devils, a play by Debbie Horsfield, is directed by Visiting Assistant Professor Dr. Christopher Connelly.
