BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan School of Music will present a vocal and instrumental chamber music concert featuring the Chamber Singers and String Ensembles on April 8 at 8 p.m. in Evelyn Chapel (1301 N. Park St., Bloomington).
The concert is free and open to the public.
Conducted by Professor of Music J. Scott Ferguson and coached by Associate Professor of Music Nina Gordon, the concert will include: Flute quartet in C major, K. 631 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Sumer is icumen in, Strike it up, Tabor by Thomas Weelkes, Ah Robin, Gentle Robin by William Cornish, Your Shining Eyes by Thomas Bateson, Fond Men That Do So Highly Prize by Thomas Tomkins, Clarinet Trio, Op. 38 by Ludwig van Beethoven, Ave verum corpus Josquin des Prez, Gelobet seist du Jesu Christ by Johann Hermann Schein, Amen, Lob und Ehre un Weisheit und Dank by Georg Philip Telemann, Ave verum corpus, Op. 65, No. 1 by Gabriel Fauré, Ubi caritas et amor arranged by Dougal Brooks-Davies, Piano Quartet in g minor, Op. 25 by Johannes Brahms, and Bolo to tak? by Iris Szeghy.
