Visiting Assistant Professor of Horn

Christine Worthing, Horn, holds her Bachelor's Degree in Horn Performance from Kent State University and holds a Masters Degree and Performance Certificate from Northwestern University.  Her teachers have included: Dale Clevenger, Eli Epstein, Richard Solis, and Gail Williams.  Ms. Worthing's performance experience includes the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Grant Park Symphony, Ravinia Festival Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Fulcrum Point Music Project, Lake Forest Symphony, Chicagoland Pops Orchestra, Chicago Jazz Philharmonic, the Cleveland Orchestra, Illinois Symphony Orchestra and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, as well as national touring productions of Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, West Side Story, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Wizard of Oz, Evita, and Les Miserables. 

In addition, Christine has recorded various television/ radio commercials/ CDs and performed with such musical acts as The Three Tenors, Andrea Bocelli, Tony Bennett, Yes, Mannheim Steamroller, and The Irish Tenors.  Ms. Worthing is also a founding member of Tower Brass of Chicago, the resident brass ensemble of Fourth Presbyterian Church.  Christine joined the Illinois Wesleyan School of Music in January 2001.
