Robert Leekley is Associate Professor and Chair of the Economics Department. His
research is in the general area of micro public policy. He is also writing an applied
statistics textbook. His course in the Environmental Studies program, Environmental
and Natural Resource Economics (ENST/ECON 340), examines the microeconomic causes
of environmental degradation, as well as the efficiency and sustainability of renewable
and non-renewable resource use in a market economy. Sources of market (and policy)
failure are identified, and the available policy responses are evaluated.
