Fall 2014 or Spring 2015 (Music Education) Student Teaching
Re: Directions to apply for 2014 field placement and 2014-15 student teaching
To: Candidates planning to Student Teach fall 2014 or spring 2015 (Music Education)
From: Jennifer Crider, Director of Field Placement and Kelly Lawton, Assistant Director of Teacher Licensure
It is time to identify field and student teaching placements for junior and senior year. We recognize you have not yet been formally admitted into the Teacher Education Program (TEP). Future field placement arrangements will depend on your admission to the program upon completion of all requirements (refer to the Teacher Education Handbook).
Nevertheless, local school districts require that requests and information be submitted early spring. Thus, please submit your resume (sample below) to the Educational Studies department no later than noon February 18, 2013.
The districts review the resume very carefully, so check your grammar. Be clear, concise, and thoughtful. The Hart Career Center is available for additional help with your resume. Submit your resume to email@example.com
Additional information also due by noon on February 18:
- Student Teaching Agreement Form. Submit signed copy to Educational Studies Office (CLA 146).
- Elementary/Secondary Candidates (only): Pre/Student Teaching Placement Survey
- Music Education Candidates (only): Pre/Student Teaching Placement Survey
Any questions regarding this process should be directed to Professor Crider, Director of Field Placement, at firstname.lastname@example.org or Kelly Lawton, Assistant Director of Teacher Licensure at email@example.com.
