Student Diversity Programming

At IWU we have over 200 registered student organizations

Some of these organizations focus their energies specifically on issues around diversity and inclusion and are. These efforts are vital to the institution as we champion the belief that the importance of diversity and inclusion should not be something solely held by the faculty and administration, but also by our students.  Some of the signature programs held by our student organizations include the African Student Association (ASA), "Black History Month Banquet" (Black Student Union); "Trans Day of Remembrance" and "Drag Show" (PRIDE Alliance); "Barrio Fiesta" and "El Baille" (Spanish and Latino Student Association); "Diwali Night" and "Holi on the Quad" (South Asian Student Association) and activities for women (Feminism: Equality Matters) just to name a few. All of these events are open to the public and all celebrate the wide array of diversity that we have here on campus!
