IWU Athletic Training Services
The IWU Sports Medicine Staff is committed to serving IWU athletes in preventing, recognizing, managing, and rehabilitating injuries resulting from physical activity. The athletic training room is open August 1st - May 31st weekdays from 8:30a.m. - 12:00p.m. for evaluation and rehabilitation. We re-open again from 2:30p.m. - 7:00p.m. for coverage of practice(s) and competition(s). Weekend hours are per athletic practice and competition. If you need to have an injury evaluated, please see the certified athletic trainers during the available morning times as listed above.

IWU Athletic Training Room
The IWU Athletic Training Room is a 2,000 square foot area with all of the amenities
necessary for providing health care for athletes in any sport. Five taping tables complete with disposal areas provide plenty of space to prepare athletes for practice
or competition. The training Room also contains five treatment tables complete with modalities (listed below). Three evaluation tables complement the middle of the training room and curtains from ceiling to floor provide
privacy if necessary. The separate whirlpool room contains three whirlpools with
access for either hot or cold water. A sink and counter top provided another access area for treatment. A rehabilitation area is complete with a small assortment of free weights, exercise bands, exercise balls,
PlyoBack and other rehabilitation equipment.

Injures
If you are an IWU athlete that is injured when a certified athletic trainer is not available, please click the injury below to see how you should treat your injury until you can see a certified athletic trainer. You may also go to www.sportsinjuryclinic.net to learn more about your injury. If it is a life threatening injury, please call 911 or seek medical attention at the ER!

Hiring an Athletic Trainer for your event
If you would like to hire an IWU Certified Athletic Trainer for your event, please contact the Head Athletic Trainer or the Assistant Athletic Trainer for more information. The rate is $25/hour or $10/half hour.
