William Bullock is a Visiting Professor in Art and Design using his insights to help build design program initiatives in Art and Design, Design, Technology & Entrepreneurship (DTE), and evolving plans for the IWU IDEA Center. Bill’s career spans four decades as an academician, administrator, and practitioner. His experience includes direction and advancement of industrial design programs at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the Georgia Institute of Technology, and Auburn University, where he taught and established successful collaborative research and outreach programs. He is a proponent of multidisciplinary design innovation and sustainability. His current work links design theory and practice in the classroom, utilizing team-based learning. He is an active Fellow in the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) and a NASAD accreditation evaluator.
