Ames School of Art

Jennifer Lapham received her M.F.A. From the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1996, where her studies focussed on ceramics, sculpture and installation. She currently serves as the director of the Merwin and Wakeley Galleries at Illinois Wesleyan. Recent exhibitions of Lapham's own work include the NFA Space in Chicago, Urban Institute for Contemporary Art in Grand Rapids, MI and "Cooled Matter - New Sculpture," an exhibition of nontraditional ceramic work in Columbus, Ohio. Jennifer can often be found upside down or in the air while practicing Contact Improvisation.
