Major: Math with a pre-med track (Amelia is on track to graduate in four years.)

Why did you choose Illinois Wesleyan?

I chose IWU because I was looking for a school where I could do many things: math, music, and languages.

Tell us about the financial aid process. Was it a factor in your decision?

Financial aid and scholarships was definitely a factor in my decision. It was cheaper for me to "go out of state" to a private school than to go to a Minnesota state school. I also earned a Jennings scholarship and my mom liked that.

Tell us about your Illinois Wesleyan experience.

I'd always heard that you should go visit your professors during office hours and that was true. It was actually helpful. Professors here remember you. IWU has lived up to its reputation as being an academically challenging school.
