The Hansen Student Center provides the IWU community the opportunity to live out the mission of the institution through programs, services, and staff support. The Office of Student Involvement, the Student Senate and Campus Activities Board offices are all housed here. The Hansen Student Center facility includes several areas to relax, study, or meet up with friends.

The Memorial Center is a student center that houses a large variety of multi-purpose reservable spaces on campus which include large-scale event spaces, mid-sized meeting rooms, and smaller private spaces.
The $15 million Shirk Center, opened in 1994, is a two-level, 135,344-square foot complex that contains a performance arena, four multi-use courts for tennis, volleyball, basketball, and other sports, as well as racquetball courts, a 200-meter track, a training room and wellness center, classrooms, and other facilities.
