BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Nearly 97% of Illinois Wesleyan's class of 2018 were employed or in graduate/professional school programs within six months of graduating.

These outcomes are based on data obtained for 86.7% of recent graduates by the Hart Career Center, following guidelines from the National Association of Colleges and Employers.

97%

of 2018 Illinois Wesleyan graduates were employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation.

The survey also showed:

The success of the most recent class continues trends shown in long-term data from the U.S. Dept. Of Education's College Scorecard and the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). As analyzed by Zippia, Illinois Wesleyan is the #1 School in Illinois for Jobs.

Another study by Zippia, comparing graduates 10 years into their careers, placed Illinois Wesleyan as the #1 four-year school in Illinois for Highest Earning Graduates.

Such results demonstrate the value of a holistic education in preparing students for success in today’s job market, according to Hart Career Center Director Warren Kistner ’83.

“Illinois Wesleyan students develop skills that serve them well as they seek employment upon graduation, pursue graduate or professional study, and ultimately advance in their chosen field," Kistner said. "It is not surprising to me that our graduates are uniquely positioned to excel on their career paths and seize opportunities that come their way.”
