IWU students, faculty, staff, and alums have a long tradition of volunteering in the community. There are lots of ways to get involved!

Want to volunteer in some way?  E-mail Bevin Choban to set up a meeting to discuss local opportunities for you, your RSO or your team!

If you are an active volunteer, please tell us about your experience! Please fill out this survey to report your engagement activities. IWU tracks the number of hours that the campus dedicates to the community as well as our most frequent partners on and off campus. Your feedback is important!

ARC assists students with finding the volunteer opportunities that are the right fit. You can get some ideas and learn more about our engagement activities on the ARC Blog!

You can also find us on Facebook at the Illinois Wesleyan University Action Research Center to learn more about opportunities and events!

The United Way of McLean County maintains a database of volunteer opportunities. Click on this link to see a current listing:

You will be asked to create a profile which enables you to save searches and sign up to receive information about volunteer opportunities and events via email. The registration process is quick and only takes 2 minutes to complete.

Students can also join a campus Registered Student Organization (RSO). Use this link to connect to RSO’s that actively volunteer:

Other campus RSO’s volunteer as well and all RSO’s are welcome to discuss volunteer opportunities with ARC.
